Where is a good place to go on a vacation to have fun?
LISA (WONDERSOME VERSION 8.0) asked:
I live in Alberta Canada and we are thinking of going on a trip, maybe some place tropical…but Im scared of planes since the 911 thing, any ideas???
The top 3 places were Maui,Ireland or Scotland or British Columbia again.

How about a cruise? They are a blast, and you can get some great deals online. It’s the most you’ll get for your money, less than $100 a day, gourmet food until you’re ready to pop, shows, fun fun fun!

Rather than Maui, let me push for the Big island.
You can go to the snow-capped peak of Mauna Loa, then descend into the volcanic caldera of Kilauea.
You can take a kayak across the bay to Cook’s Statue, go snorkling and see tropical fishes, work on a coffee plantation for a day (and drink coffee from the beans you harvested and roasted!).
Walk on a white sand beach, a black sand beach and a green sand beach ON THE SAME DAY!
Go into a valley to see magnificent waterfalls!
Expensive. You bet! Worth it? You bet!

it depends on your idea of fun. The Dominican Republic has a great many places that are really affordable. Cruises are good to see many places and you only have to unpack once. I loved Tahiti and want to go back. Fiji is also on my list of things to do.
