What is it like to live on Oahu? Thinking of relocating from the east coast?

My husband has a good job offer in Honolulu. We have been to Oahu, Maui, and Kaui on vacations many times and absolutely loved it. But I am wondering how I would like to live there. Where on Oahu should we look for housing. We are vegetarians, and practice yoga.
